Summer Reading has begun!

School is out, and the annual Summer Reading Program officially kicks off on Monday, June 15!

The program is super simple. Every child receives a log sheet to keep track of how much they are reading throughout the summer. Earn prizes as you go! Children ages 4 and older count their reading in 15 minute intervals. Reading can be done with a grown up or independently. Children under 4 years of age can do literacy activities with a grownup (such as reading books or attending storytime).

In addition to earning prizes for reading, we have tons of other fun activities and events for the whole family this summer! Read to a therapy dog on Mondays! Explore great books at a book discussion! Find out what your superpowers are at the Superhero Clinic! Cool off with some fun books and a cup of lemonade at Lemonade Club! Let your teddy bears spend the night at the library during the Teddy Bear Sleepover! And so much more!
